Introduction Of ICOS Vision Systems Corporation NV On The Continuous Segment Of Euronext Brussels

On Wednesday 4 June 2003, 10,507,810 ordinary shares of the company ICOS Vision Systems Corporation NV (ICOS), representing the entire issued capital of ICOS, were admitted on the continuous segment of the First market of Euronext Brussels. At a later to be determined date, a maximum of 245,300 shares can be created following the possible exercise of options reserved to the staff .

ICOS was founded in Belgium in 1982 as a spin-off of the Leuven University. Its headquarters are situated in Heverlee. Since its inception, ICOS has been providing innovative solutions for vision and inspection of semiconductor devices. In 1986, ICOS opened its first subsidiary in the USA. In 1991, the Japanese subsidiary was opened, followed by branches in Hong Kong (1995) and Singapore (1996). In 1998 the German company Qtec was acquired.

ICOS is listed on Nasdaq since December 1997 and on Nasdaq Europe since July 1998. The company asked a dual listing on Euronext Brussels in order to offer its investors in the Eurozone a more transparent and more liquid trading platform.

At the end of the first trading day the price rose by 3.44% to close at EUR 6.61 bringing the total Market capitalisation of ICOS at EUR 69,456,624. On the electronic orderbook, a total of 29,699 shares were traded amounting to a turnover of EUR 201,653.
