Women CEOs of the real estate companies listed on TASE participated this morning in the Opening Bell Ceremony marking International Women's Day 2025. This special ceremony is part of a worldwide celebration of Women’s Day at more than 115 stock exchanges worldwide.
Dvora Baruch, CEO of Shmuel Baruch Entrepreneurship and Construction, said: “In recent years, we have all witnessed a transformation in the Israeli real estate sector, as talented women take on key leadership positions in the industry. The combination of creative thinking, precision management, and long-term vision that women bring to the decision-making table generates immense value for the companies and the investors. I am proud to be part of a group of women executives leading this revolution on TASE. Our listing on TASE and our transition to a publicly traded company is an important milestone, reflecting our confidence in the company and our commitment to transparency and continuous growth.”
Haya Kind, CEO of the Abou Family REIT, said: “I am honored to participate in this Opening Bell Ceremony marking International Women’s Day and to salute the women leading the real estate and construction sectors within the Israeli capital market. The Abou Family REIT is part of a group of companies dedicated to promoting female leadership, driven by the belief that women must hold influential roles and drive change in the industry. The presence of women in the business world in general, and in real estate in particular, is essential for a stable, innovative, and progressive economy. This ceremony represents the journey we have undertaken and reaffirms our commitment to forging an equitable future full of opportunities for leading women.”
Michal Gur, CEO of Almogim Holdings said: “After many years in the industry, I can cautiously say that one of the main reasons for the underrepresentation of women in leadership positions lies with those responsible for senior appointments—primarily the controlling shareholders, the developers, the vast majority of whom are men, or ‘the ruling gender.’ That said, as a CEO in the sector, I do not shy away from responsibility and firmly believe that any woman who chooses to pursue a leadership role, and possesses both the professional capabilities and personal aptitude, can certainly attain it. Female leadership offers a unique perspective —it inherently sees the bigger picture and, beyond professional knowhow and multitasking ability, harnesses emotional intelligence, empathy, and intuition. I firmly believe that behind every successful woman stands, first and foremost, her mother. My own strength and motivation stem from my mother, an immigrant from Morocco, who despite her intelligence and remarkable personality, was unable to fully realize her potential due to her circumstances. Nevertheless, she instilled in my siblings and me the importance of higher education, work ethics, diligence, and the belief that we can achieve anything we aspire to.”
Tzeala Rosenblum-Amor, CEO of Mordechai Aviv Construction Industries noted: “I am proud to celebrate this significant day alongside my esteemed colleagues—talented and respected female executives in the real estate and construction industry—who play a crucial role in driving the sector and the Israeli economy towards growth and prosperity. As CEO of Mordechai Aviv, one of the longest standing real estate development and construction firms listed on TASE, I make it a priority —especially in today’s climate—to encourage women to take on decision-making positions and contribute their expertise and skills to the development and resilience of our remarkable country.”
Hani Shitrit Bach, EVP and Head of Listings at TASE, said: “Women continue to be underrepresented in key positions in the capital market. The figures speak for themselves: of the 92 chairpersons appointed in 2024, only 11 were women; and of 101 CEOs appointed, merely five were women. These numbers highlight a significant disparity between the potential of women and its realization within the corporate and governmental landscape, underscoring the need for a fundamental shift. The road to equality is still long, but TASE, is committed to being part of the change. We firmly believe that women are a cornerstone of the Israeli economy, and we actively work to empower them. As part of this effort, we hold the Future Female CEOs Program in collaboration with the Supersonas organization, equipping women with the tools and knowledge that are crucial to success. I am proud to say that nearly half of the employees and management team at TASE are women and I hope to see this trend expand throughout the capital market and nationwide.”
