International Securities Exchange Announces Organizational Changes

Date 03/06/2004

The International Securities Exchange (ISE) said today that it realigned certain functions within its Technology and Market Operations departments in anticipation of the departure of Paul Bennett, Senior Vice President, Market Operations.

Mr. Bennett is rejoining his family in Australia at the end of June. At ISE, Mr. Bennett was in charge of ISE's departments of Product Management, Market Operations and Project Management.

"Paul Bennett played a key role in launching ISE and has helped in building ISE's business since its inception. We appreciate his dedication and hard work throughout his tenure at ISE," said Gary Katz, ISE's Chief Operating Officer.

Product Management and Project Management, which reported to Mr. Bennett, will now report to Lawrence Campbell, a Vice President, who also has been promoted to Chief Technology Officer. Mr. Campbell will continue to report to Danny Friel, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

Gregory Maynard, formerly Vice President of Product Management, now becomes Vice President and System and Product Strategy Officer. Mr. Maynard will now report to Mr. Katz.

Market Operations will continue to be managed by James Sampson, who previously served as Vice President, Market Supervision, and now serves as Vice President of Market Operations, reporting to Mr. Friel. Market Surveillance, part of ISE's Legal and Regulatory Department, will report to Katherine Simmons, Vice President and Assistant General Counsel.

"These organizational changes will leverage the considerable synergy that exists between technology and market operations. I am optimistic that these organizational changes will further enhance ISE's operational efficiencies," Mr. Katz said.
