- International Power PLC (United Kingdom, SEDOL: 0632016, GICS: Utilities, GICS Code: 55105010) will replace Exel PLC (United Kingdom, SEDOL: 0448688) in the S&P Europe 350 index and S&P United Kingdom indices, after the close of trading on Monday 12th December 2005. Exel PLC is being deleted from the S&P Europe 350 and S&P United Kingdom indices, following the completion of the cash and share acquisition by Deutsche Post AG, which remains subject to the sanction of the UK Court.
The last day of trading for Exel PLC shares will be 9th December 2005. Exel shares will remain in the S&P European indices until the close of trading on 12th December, using closing prices for 9th December.
International Power PLC is a leading independent power generation company. The number of shares outstanding is 1,472,600 and the Investable Weight Factor will be 1. The company will be added to the S&P Europe 350 GICS (Global Industry Classification Standard) Multi-Utilities & Unregulated Power sub-industry.
- Deutsche Post AG (Germany, SEDOL: 4617859, GICS: Industrials), a member of the S&P Europe 350, S&P Euro Plus and S&P Euro indices, shares will increase to 1,191,412,508. This is due to a capital increase related to the cash and share acquisition of Exel PLC.
