INSCX™ - Integrated Nano-Science & Commodity Exchange, a patent-pending project to develop an exchange dedicated to trade in accredited and compliant nanotechnologies has begun a process of consultation with Carbon Black manufacturers and other nanoproducers to work with the exchange registration and listing committee to determine trade specifications for a variety of contracts for physical delivery of underlying engineered nano objects, materials and commodities.
INSCX™ has identified a broad spectrum of tradable materials and capacities, almost thirty in total, ranging from Carbon black, titanium dioxide, speciality silicas, SWCNTs, metal oxides, polymeric carriers to nanostructures and capacities derived in whole or in part from nanotechnology which will be listed for formal trade.
Trade is scheduled to commence first quarter 2011 on formal launch of the INSCX™ electronic platform, currently being developed by Comdaq, a leading developer of exchange standard ECNs www.comdaq.net in conjunction with NanoCentral®, part of the UK government sponsored Centre for Process Innovation www.nanocentral.eu
The consultation process is structured to engage with global manufacturers to determine individual contract specifications, whether in terms of contract size, delivery, compliance and trade procedure prior to formal launch of the exchange.
INSCX™ will provide manufacturers with an opportunity to supply into the global marketplace in a manner best suiting their particular specialisation via a formal, rule-bound and compliant process of exchange operating across three world time zones. The process of dialogue between the exchange and manufacturers will initially centre on high volume materials, Carbon Black , titanium dioxide Ti02 and speciality silicas, being earmarked thus far.
“We are particulary interested in dialogue with the CB4REACH consortium led by EVONIK Degussa GmbH and other leading Carbon Black produces, Cabot Corporation, Columbian Chemicals, Timcal, Sid Richardson, Cancarb and Continental Carbon. A process of introducing the exchange to these corporations is underway”, a spokesperson for the exchange’s registration committee added. “These corporations are invited to use exchange facilities, both trade and ancillary to improve trade flows and liquidity in addition to benefiting from lines of contact established in key areas by the exchange for example, with global insurance syndicates and regulatory bodies.”
Registration with the exchange is through completion of a formal Preliminary Registration Questionnaire structured to categorise participants into Commercial and/or Non-Commercial users. A PRQ form can be issued on request to info@inscx.com and further information pertaining to consultations with global manufacturers can be obtained from the exchange www.inscx.com and from NanoCentral® www.nanocentral.eu
