With the hedge fund industry experiencing particularly turbulent market conditions, Preqin turned its attention to the appetite of the institutional market. Using information from the 2009 Preqin Global Institutional Investor Review, which contains surveys and institutional investor information from across the globe, Preqin analysed investor trends and attitudes to the asset class in 2009 and beyond. Investors were surveyed between August 2008 and November 2008.
