Instinet Launches “Meet The Street” Corporate Access Platform - Meet The Street Helps Institutional Investors And Publicly Traded Companies Facilitate Face To Face Meetings Through A Transparent, Web-Based Platform

Date 29/03/2010

Instinet Incorporated, a global leader in electronic trading and agency-only brokerage services, today announced the formation of Meet the Street™ LLC, a new corporate access solution that seeks to match corporate management teams with targeted investors through an innovative, web-based service.

Unlike the traditional management access model, where sellside firms manually coordinate investor meetings for corporate management teams, Meet the Street directly empowers the investor relations officers (IROs) and buy-side portfolio managers and analysts themselves. With the online platform, IROs are able to schedule non-deal roadshows with targeted investors who have previously expressed interest in their companies.

“Meet the Street is an online corporate access solution designed to streamline all aspects of the non-deal roadshow process,” said Jonathan Kellner, President, Instinet, LLC, of which Meet the Street is an affiliate. “This platform is the latest example of Instinet developing innovative technologies that bring greater efficiency to the marketplace, and is an excellent strategic complement to our other conflict-free offerings in global agency trading, commission management and independent third-party research sales.”

Meet the Street will be run by co-Presidents Michael Dolan and Dan Dykens. Mr. Dolan, who brings 17 years’ experience on Wall Street, joined Instinet in 2000 and has managed both the U.S. independent third-party research and sales efforts at the firm. Mr. Dykens previously spent 10 years working on the buy-side a portfolio manager and Trader, and most recently served as the CEO of a financial technology firm.

“We’ve been developing the Meet the Street platform for the past 15 months, and the concept has been met with great enthusiasm by both investors and corporates. We are actively building the investor side of the network, and as we reach a critical mass of liquidity in various cities we will open those markets to the corporate channel for non-deal roadshows,” said Dolan and Dykens in a joint statement.
