In observation of the first anniversary of September 11th, Instinet will be commemorating those who lost their lives during the attacks with various internal activities and honoring the families and friends of all the victims. In particular, Instinet will be remembering the lives of two remarkable colleagues, Anil Bharvaney and Steve Tompsett, who lost their lives on September 11th and will be reflecting on their many contributions to our organization.
Instinet Trading
In concert with the US Exchanges and Nasdaq, which will be delaying the opening of business until 11:00 a.m., Instinet will suspend the start of trading of US and Canadian equities until 10:50 a.m. EST on September 11, 2002, when Nasdaq's modified pre-opening period begins. Our offices, however, will remain open during normal business hours. Trading in non-US markets, other than Canada, will not be affected.
