ING has expanded its UK sector banking operation with six senior appointments, adding specialist coverage in financial sponsors, insurance, transport and logistics, food, beverage and agribusiness, and multinational companies.
Under the new leadership of Aled Patchett, UK head of sectors, the expansion includes a newly created role connecting multinational clients with ING’s international network, a dedicated London food and agribusiness team, broader transport coverage beyond the bank’s established shipping business, as well as enhanced financial sponsors and insurance expertise.
ING has strengthened its Financial Sponsors franchise with the appointment of Isotta Perotti as managing director. Perotti has more than two decades of experience across Investment Banking and Sponsor coverage, and joins ING from Société Générale, where she was responsible for driving growth across large multi-strategy and infrastructure sponsor names. Based in London, she will support clients across EMEA and globally.
The appointment is part of ING’s recent investment in specialist sector coverage across its UK business.
In insurance, ING has appointed Tom Duncan as global lead for insurance and Lauren Marshall as EMEA lead for insurance. They will shape ING’s global and regional insurance strategies, coordinate activity across key markets and help clients address complex financing, capital and risk management needs.
ING has also expanded its transport and logistics coverage with the appointment of Katie Timmons from Citi. Timmons brings extensive experience across aviation, logistics, land transport and automotive, broadening ING’s UK offering beyond its established shipping business. She will advise clients as they navigate shifting trade flows, digital transformation and the transition to lower-carbon operations.
The appointments follow ING’s establishment of a dedicated food, beverage and agribusiness (FB&A) team in London in late 2025, which extended its sector-led model to UK clients across the food and agribusiness value chain. Team lead Eanna Mulkere brings more than 25 years’ sector banking experience, including eight years with ING in Dallas, where he developed a diverse client portfolio and led transactions across the sector. The team strengthens ING’s ability to help UK clients respond to changing consumer demand, sustainability challenges and increasingly complex global supply chains.
ING has also appointed Andrea Burnett as UK head of network sector coverage. In this newly created role, Burnett will connect multinational clients with ING’s international network and sector expertise across key markets, meeting growing demand from globally active clients for integrated banking support across geographies.

The hires expand ING’s UK sector teams across lending, transaction services, financial markets, sustainable finance and debt capital markets.
