ING Bank N.V. Increases Its Holding In London Stock Exchange Group To 4%

London Stock Exchange Group plc received the following letter from ING Wholesale Banking on 3 July 2006.

I write to inform you that on 30 June 2006 ING Bank N.V. increased its holding of ordinary shares in London Stock Exchange Group to 8,711,940. We understand that based on a number of shares in issue of 214,638,942, the holding amounts to 4.06% and is legal and beneficial.
