The Minneapolis Grain Exchange is pleased to announce that Infinium Capital Management is now quoting the overnight Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) options market. Quotes are expected in the system by 7:00 p.m. each night.
"Our goal is to initiate trading in the overnight HRSW options market to support our positions in the futures market," said Andy Gamboa of Infinium Capital Management.
According to Minneapolis Grain Exchange President & CEO Mark G. Bagan, the overnight quoting by Infinium is the start of a renewed marketing effort by the Exchange to increase volume in the HRSW options market. Bagan added that the Exchange broke several volume and open interest records over the 2006 calendar year in both HRSW futures and options and that the Exchange set a new calendar year volume record for HRSW futures that was 16-percent higher than 2005.
