Index Change In SDAX - Bien-Haus AG To Leave SMAX Segment As Of July 9

Date 04/07/2001

Bien-Haus AG is leaving Deutsche Börse's SMAX small-cap quality segment as of July 9, 2001. The stock will continue to be traded in the first segment (Amtlicher Handel) of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FWB Frankfurter Wertpapierbörse). Deutsche Börse AG announced the change on Wednesday.

When a company leaves the SMAX segment, it is automatically dropped from the SDAX, the blue-chip index for German SMAX companies. As of the same date, Bien-Haus AG will be replaced in the SDAX by Köhler & Krenzer Fashion AG. Deutsche Börse had decided in favor of this company on June 26 as a replacement candidate in the event of changes due to the planned takeover of Dresdner Bank AG by Allianz AG and of Ergo AG by Münchener Rückversicherungs-Gesellschaft AG (Munich Re). The second company to move up in the SDAX - after Medisana AG, also chosen on June 26 - will be CEAG AG.
