Index Adjustments At The SWX Swiss Exchange As Of 1 October 2003

Pursuant to the provisions of the Index Rules of the SWX Swiss Exchange (SMI® and SPI® Index Rules point 1.5.3), the free-float values and the number of shares will be adjusted as of 1 October 2003. A list of the changes is available on the Internet at the following URL:

The list may be adjusted up to 23 September 2003 depending on reported changes regarding shareholdings. This will ensure close monitoring of the market up to the time that the index is adjusted.

Inclusions into the SPI®
