In January 1,247,397 contracts were traded on MEFF. Bonos-10 futures traded 157,005 contracts, IBEX-35 futures traded 439,725 contracts, IBEX-35 options traded 87,093 contracts and options on shares 563,574 contracts. The most actively traded options in the month: Telefónica (285,667contracts), BBV (66,236), Endesa (66,217), BSCH (64,838), Repsol (27,756) and Iberdrola (20,430). Open positions at the end of January were: Bonos-10 futures 15,141 contracts, IBEX-35 futures 51,528 contracts, IBEX-35 options 83,910 contracts and options on shares 2,053,605 contracts. Open positions on MEFF at the end of January totalled 2,203,605 contracts.
