On December 7, SZSE held the 11th “Chuangxianghui” special event for SZSE-listed companies giving returns to investors. Representatives of SZSE-listed and some overseas listed enterprises, representatives of intermediaries and investment institutions and experts and scholars who have long paid attention to the development of the global capital market, etc., were invited to discuss the exploration of the capital market in a new pattern of giving returns to investors.
The Central Financial Work Conference held on October 30 and 31 called for “deeply understanding the political and people’s nature of financial work” and “maintaining the reasonable and sufficient liquidity, the continuous reduction of financing costs and the active capital market”. The meeting held by the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on July 24 proposed to “enliven the capital market and boost investors’ confidence”. In order to implement the guidelines of the Central Financial Work Conference and the important deployments for capital market-related work at the meeting of the Political Bureau, CSRC issued a package of policy measures to enliven the capital market and boost investors’ confidence. Such measures effectively guaranteed the stable, steady and healthy development of the capital market. Participants believed that the stock repurchase and dividend distribution of listed companies, as important measures for ensuring the long-term healthy development of the capital market, played an important role in increasing investors’ returns and enhancing investors’ sense of gain. With the full implementation of the registration-based IPO system for stock issuance, how the capital market and the exchange better play the role of stock repurchase and dividend distribution is of great significance. Participants shared the cases, practices and experiences of domestic and foreign listed companies giving return to investors from different perspectives and discussed the existing difficulties and common problems. They said that exchanges with different industrial entities enhanced their awareness of giving return to investors and shared their good experience in domestic and foreign markets. Typical cases and thoughts presented by guests were highly targeted and instructive.
Participants said that in recent years, with the mission of “gathering innovative capital and stimulating growth momentum”, SZSE has strengthened the construction of regulatory process rules, constantly improved the service mechanism and focused on creating a full-chain ecology serving the entities in capital market. Meanwhile, SZSE has actively played the leading role of the capital market organizer, encouraged SZSE-listed companies to increase support for investors’ return and made efforts to enhance the sense of gain of market entities, effectively promoting the long-term healthy development of the capital market.
Next, SZSE will actively carry out a series of “Chuangxianghui” events still focusing on key fields, key industries and key regions to facilitate enterprises’ interaction, exchange and cooperation and build a market service highland with SZSE characteristics.
