The RDU SI Registry file formats are being updated with two new fields to account for Brexit to distinguish between the UK SI regime, the EU SI regime or both. This will require all SIs to resubmit their SI status for all entries prior to Brexit. Below are some key dates for the release. Clients need to have submitted their SI status with the two new fields by March 30th in order to remain part of the registry.
- February 25th (Monday) – Testing of the new file format begins in a parallel UAT environment. Clients can start submitting data with the new fields.
- March 16th (Saturday) – The new file format goes live in production. Whilst clients can submit their SI status with the two new fields, these will not yet be validated or enforced. Previously submitted client data will remain for an interim period without the fields populated.
- March 29th (Friday 11.00pm) – The UK is scheduled to leave the EU.
- March 30th (Saturday) – Deadline for submitting SI status with the new fields.
These changes are due to be implemented regardless of any Brexit delay and firms must therefore comply by 30th March.

Please note the above to ensure your brokers are participating in the upgrade. Failure to comply with the timeline could put your reporting accuracy at jeopardy from March 16th.
