The 16th Latibex Forum, organised by BME, begins tomorrow with an opening event that will be presided over by Iñigo Fernández de Mesa, Secretary of State for the Economy and Business Supportand Antonio Zoido, Chairman of BME.
Under the “Eurolatam Business Meeting” heading, this year’s Forum goes one step further, as not only will it introduce the participating companies to investors but it will also strengthen the business and institutional links between Spain and Latin America.
During the two-day Forum, more than 45 Latin American companies will come together with over 250 European investors and financial intermediaries in Madrid. At the different conferences and panels that will take place such topics as the growth in energy, infrastructures and tourism, changes in financial sectors and responsible banking, will be discussed, among others.
On the first day, key addresses will be given, by Matías Rodríguez Inciarte, Second Vice-Chairman, Banco Santander, José Sainz Armada, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Iberdrolaand Santiago Fernández Valbuena, Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) and Member of the Board, Telefónica. On Friday, Alejandro Álvarez von Gustedt, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) representative in Europe, will speak at the event.
During this annual gathering, the best macro-analysts specialising in Latin America and some of the most experienced investors will come together to share their outlook on the region’s prospects.
