ICE Futures Establishes New Daily Volume Records - Exchange-Wide And In ICE WTI And Brent Crude Futures - New Open Interest Record Set In ICE WTI Crude Futures

IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace, announced that its regulated futures subsidiary, ICE Futures, posted another record volume day exchange-wide and in both ICE WTI Crude and ICE Brent Crude futures on Thursday, January 11.

Exchange-wide volume yesterday totaled 847,892 contracts, exceeding by 5.8% the previous record of 801,714 established on January 9 and marking the third day this week of record exchange-wide volume. ICE Futures has achieved the four highest volume days in the exchange’s history this week.

ICE Brent Crude futures set a fourth consecutive day of record volume on January 11, with 345,407 contracts changing hands. The previous record on January 10 was 344,149 contracts.

Volume in ICE WTI Crude futures yesterday reached an all-time high of 377,672 contracts, surpassing by 22.8% the previous record of 307,494 contracts established just two days earlier on January 9.

ICE WTI Crude futures also established a new open interest record on January 11 of 471,651 contracts.
