IntercontinentalExchange (NYSE: ICE), the leading electronic energy marketplace and soft commodity exchange, today announced that it has entered into an agreement with PVM Oil Associates Ltd (PVM) for the provision of daily oil market commentary and market information to ICE customers. PVM is the leading independent broker of OTC oil instruments and the largest execution-only broker of ICE Futures oil contracts. The agreement will allow customers to access a complement of oil market information designed for active market users, including commentary on oil fundamentals, technical analysis and price data for both futures and over-the-counter (OTC) markets.
PVM’s daily oil market reports have previously been available only to its OTC and futures customers. As of today, ICE’s registered proprietary traders will have access to this added-value content on a free-trial basis for three months. The new Trader Pack, comprises three unique reports:- PVM Technical Report – daily technical analysis by Robin Bieber, widely read and regarded as a leading technical report writer in the oil markets. Available from 8:30 a.m. London time, the report is considered by many to be essential reading for oil market participants.
- PVM Fundamental Report – daily global oil market analysis and unique commentary with an interpretation of news, views and events. The report offers insights into oil trading, analyzes the pressure points of supply and demand, assesses the impact of geopolitical events and challenges conventional wisdom. The lead writers are David Hufton and Philip Wiper, both long-serving oil industry professionals.
- PVM Mid-day Report – an update from market professionals on the technical picture plus a fresh round-up of oil headlines. The report summarizes the London morning’s activity on ICE (both Crude and Gas Oil) and OTC crude markets such as Brent/WTI, CFDs, DFLs, Dubai and Urals, along with commentary on OTC gasoline and naphtha.
