The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the re-appointment by the Financial Secretary of Ms Julia Leung as Executive Director (Intermediaries), with an additional role of Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the SFC for three years with effect from today (Note 1).
In her additional role, Ms Leung will assist the Chief Executive Officer in key policy areas as well as on longer-term strategy.
Mr Ashley Alder, the SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “Julia has made an extremely valuable contribution to the work of the SFC since joining the Commission three years ago. During that time she has led the Investment Products Division as well as the Intermediaries Division. I am confident that Julia will continue to bring the same dedication and commitment to her additional role as my deputy, and I look forward to working closely with Julia in her new term.”
Note:
- Ms Leung joined the SFC in 2015 as Executive Director overseeing the Investment Products Division, and took over as Executive Director of the Intermediaries Division in 2016.
