The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Dr William Wong Ming-fung, SC and the re-appointment of Ms Teresa Ko Yuk-yin as Non-Executive Directors for a term of two years effective from 1 August 2014 (Note 1).
"We would like to welcome Dr Wong to our Board. Dr Wong brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise and I look forward to working with him and continuing to work with Ms Ko who has provided invaluable support and guidance since her first appointment in 2012," said Mr Carlson Tong, the SFC’s chairman.
"I would also like to express our sincere gratitude to outgoing Non-Executive Director Mr Anderson Chow Ka-ming, SC for his many valuable contributions during his time with the SFC, including serving as the Chairman of the Investor Compensation Company Limited," Mr Tong added (Note 2).

- Ms Ko was first appointed as the SFC’s Non-Executive Director on 1 August 2012.
- Investor Compensation Company Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the SFC, is established for the administration of claims against the Investor Compensation Fund.
