Hong Kong's Securities And Futures Commission Seeks Leads From Public To Assist With Enforcement Inquiries

Date 31/10/2011

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) is launching a new section on its website (www.sfc.hk) today to encourage the public to help the SFC find individuals who are sought in relation to enforcement inquiries but cannot be traced.

The new section ─ “Have You Seen These People?” ─ contains details of those individuals who are the subject of arrest warrants or whom the SFC believes have important information that may assist in other enforcement inquiries (Note 1).

“Locating and speaking to people who have relevant information is an important part of our investigation work. We hope the public will help us find people we have been unable to find using traditional methods,” said Mr Mark Steward, the SFC’s Executive Director of Enforcement.

“With the support of the public, I am sure we will be able to enforce Hong Kong’s securities laws more effectively for the benefit of the community,” he added.

All information provided to the SFC will be treated as confidential and will be updated on a regularly basis. Once a person is located, his/her listing will be removed from the site.
