The Court of First Instance today granted directions in the proceedings commenced by the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) against Ernst & Young in relation to access to accounting records (Note 1).
The Court ordered, by consent, that Ernst & Young file their affidavit evidence with the Court on or before 15 October 2012, and for the SFC to file any further affidavit evidence in reply within three weeks after receipt of Ernst & Young’s affidavit evidence.
As a consequence, the preliminary hearing scheduled for 11 September 2012 has been vacated. No hearing date has been fixed by the Court.
