Hong Kong Stock Exchange Announces Appointments To The Listing Committees

The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, announced today (Friday) the appointments of Stephen Hunt and Michael Lee to fill vacancies on the Main Board Listing Committee, effective 5 November 2004 (today). Mr Hunt is appointed under the Market Practitioners and Users category and Mr Lee is appointed under the Listed Company Representatives category.

In addition, Mr Hunt is appointed to fill a vacancy on the Growth Enterprise Market, or GEM, Listing Committee under the Market Practitioners and Users category effective today.

Mr Hunt is the Deputy Chairman of Cathay International Holdings Limited, which has property in Mainland China and interests in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries on the Mainland, and Chief Operating Officer of Cathay International Limited, which invests in infrastructure in Mainland China.

Mr Lee is the Managing Director of Hysan Development Company Limited, a Main Board-listed company whose major business is in property investment, property management and property development.
