The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the Financial Secretary’s re-appointment of Mr Johnson Kong and Mr Dieter Yih as Non-Executive Directors for a further two-year term commencing on 15 November 2025 (Note 1).
Dr Kelvin Wong, Chairman of the SFC, said: “I am delighted that Johnson and Dieter will continue to contribute their insight and dedication to the Board. Their experience and perspectives will be instrumental as we advance our dual role as the enabler of capital market development and uphold the SFC’s standing as a world-class securities regulator in an increasingly complex and competitive global financial environment.”
Dr Wong added: “I look forward to working with them closely, alongside the rest of the Board, to guide the SFC in achieving its core regulatory objectives — safeguarding market integrity, protecting investors’ interests, upholding market quality, and ensuring sound governance across Hong Kong’s capital markets.”

- Mr Kong and Mr Yih were first appointed as the SFC’s Non-Executive Directors on 15 November 2021. Their current appointment ends on 14 November 2025.
