Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission Welcomes Appointment Of Executive Director

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Dr Eric Yip as Executive Director of Intermediaries for a term of three years effective from 2 May 2024 (Note 1).

The SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Julia Leung, said: “Dr Yip brings to the SFC a wealth of market experience in equities, banking and private funds, having held senior roles at leading financial intermediaries in Hong Kong.”

“I am confident Dr Yip’s skill sets and knowledge of the financial markets in both Hong Kong and the Mainland will go a long way towards advancing the SFC’s regulatory work and agenda,” Ms Leung added.
