Hong Kong Securities And Futures Commission Welcomes Appointment Of Executive Director

The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Mr Rico Leung as Executive Director (Supervision of Markets) for a term of three years effective from 28 August 2019.

Mr Leung, who is currently a senior director of the SFC’s Supervision of Markets Division, will succeed Mr Keith Lui who will be retiring later this month (Note 1).

Mr Ashley Alder, the SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, said: "Mr Leung has accumulated a wealth of experience and expertise in supervision of markets at the SFC for over 18 years and I look forward to working closely with him in his new role."

"I would also like to thank Mr Lui for his valuable contributions to the SFC and his dedication and commitment to the Commission over the past 24 years. On behalf of our colleagues, I wish him a very happy and well-deserved retirement," Mr Alder added.

Note:

Mr Lui joined the SFC in 1995 and has been an Executive Director since 2006. His current term will end on 27 August 2019.
