The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Ms Lisa Chen as Executive Director (Legal Services) for a term of three years effective from 22 May 2023.
Ms Chen is currently Senior Director of the SFC’s Enforcement Division and was previously Deputy Chief Counsel of the Legal Services Division (Note 1).
The SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, Ms Julia Leung, said: “Lisa brings to the post a wealth of legal knowledge, enforcement and litigation experience gained from more than 20 years of practice both within the SFC and from private law firms.”
“I look forward to continue working with Lisa in her new position and I am confident her professional knowledge will go a long way towards advancing the SFC’s strong track record in the regulation of Hong Kong’s securities and futures markets,” Ms Leung added.

- Ms Chen first joined the SFC in 2004 and left in 2009 when she was Senior Counsel and spent more than five years in private law firms including Clifford Chance, Hong Kong and Davis, Polk & Wardwell, Hong Kong.
