The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the appointment by the Financial Secretary of Mr Christopher Wilson as Executive Director of Enforcement and Mr Michael Duignan as Executive Director of Corporate Finance, both for a term of three years effective from 1 November 2022 (Note 1).
The SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr Ashley Alder, said: “Mr Wilson brings to the SFC a wealth of international experience having held senior legal and compliance roles in major global banks during an 18-year career in Hong Kong. Mr Duignan has been a Senior Director with the SFC for over eight years and has extensive experience in the SFC’s operation in addition to his regulatory experience with overseas financial regulators prior to joining the SFC.”
“I am confident their experience and knowledge of our financial markets will go a long way towards advancing the SFC’s strong track record in its regulatory work,” Mr Alder added.

- Mr Wilson is currently Deputy General Counsel, Head of Global Banking and Markets Legal for Asia Pacific with the Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited.
