The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the Financial Secretary’s appointment of Mr Keith Pogson and re-appointment of Mr Chew Fook-aun as Non-Executive Directors, respectively for a term of two years (Note 1).
Mr Tim Lui, the SFC’s Chairman, said: “I would like to extend a warm welcome to Keith. His standing in the accounting profession, rich experience in the financial services industry and knowledge of capital markets will be important assets to the SFC Board in fulfilling its mission to develop Hong Kong’s financial markets, address risks and protect investors.”
“I am also pleased that the SFC will continue to benefit from Fook-aun’s insights and advice to effectively conduct its regulatory work and maintain good corporate governance,” Mr Lui added.
Dr Kelvin Wong, Chairman-designate of the SFC (Note 2), said: “I look forward to seamless collaboration with both new and current SFC Board members including Keith and Fook-aun as well as its senior management team, to guide the SFC in enhancing Hong Kong’s allure as a premier international financial centre.”
The SFC would also like to thank outgoing Non-Executive Director Ms Agnes Chan for her valuable contribution to enhancing the SFC’s role as a financial regulator with her wealth of expertise and experience in financial services during her six-year tenure (Note 3).

- The term of Mr Pogson will begin on 20 October 2024 and the renewed term of Mr Chew will begin on 1 January 2025.
- Dr Wong’s tenure will be effective from 20 October 2024 for a term of three years.
- Ms Chan’s term ends on 19 October 2024.
