The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) welcomes the Financial Secretary’s appointment of Mr Bernard Man, SC, and re-appointment of Mr Vincent Chan Chun-hung as Non-Executive Directors, respectively for a term of two years (Note 1).
Dr Kelvin Wong, Chairman of the SFC, said: “I am pleased to welcome Bernard to the Board and look forward to Vincent’s continued tenure. Bernard's broad commercial litigation practice, with particular experience in banking, insolvency (corporate and personal) and company disputes, will further enrich the Board’s depth. Meanwhile, Vincent has made valuable contributions in fostering robust corporate governance at the SFC. I look forward to working closely with both of them, alongside our fellow Board members, to advance the SFC’s dual mandate and uphold market integrity.”
Dr Wong also expressed his gratitude to the retiring Board member:
“On behalf of the Board, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and sincere appreciation to the outgoing Non-Executive Director, Mr Victor Dawes, SC, for his exceptional dedication and invaluable contributions to the SFC over the past six years, as well as his exemplary leadership in chairing the Investor and Financial Education Council since November 2021.” Dr Wong added.

- The terms of Mr Man and Mr Chan will begin on 1 August 2026.
