The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) announces that Mr Brian Ho will be retiring as Executive Director – Corporate Finance on the expiry of his current three-year contract on 27 August 2021.
The SFC has commenced a global recruitment exercise for Mr Ho’s successor.
The SFC has appointed Ms Megan Tang, Senior Director – Corporate Finance, as Interim Head of Corporate Finance pending the completion of the recruitment exercise.
Mr Ashley Alder, the SFC’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We wish to express our appreciation for Brian’s leadership of the Corporate Finance Division and contribution to the Commission as a whole. Throughout his 28-year tenure, Brian has shown unwavering dedication to public service and commitment to the highest regulatory standards in order to ensure the successful development of Hong Kong as a leading listing market.”
Mr Ho will take up an advisory role with the SFC for six months commencing 28 August 2021.
