The Securities and Futures Commission’s (SFC) Chief Executive Officer, Ms Julia Leung, and its senior executives held a high-level meeting today in Hong Kong with a delegation from the Lao People’s Democratic Republic.
The delegation from Laos was led by Mrs Phengsy Phengmuong, Secretary-General of the Lao Securities Commission Office (LSCO), and Mr Siosavath Thirakul, Chief Executive Officer of the Lao Securities Exchange (LSX).
The two sides shared updates on their respective financial markets and exchanged views on capital market development strategies. The delegation from Laos participated in technical sharing sessions with SFC executives on various topics, including the SFC’s strategic priorities, supervision of listed companies, sustainable finance and investor education.
