The Securities and Futures Commission’s Chairman, Dr Kelvin Wong and its Chief Executive Officer, Ms Julia Leung held a high-level meeting with Deputy Governor of the People’s Bank of China and Administrator of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, Mr Zhu Hexin in Beijing on 20 December 2024.
The two sides exchanged views on the recent financial market situations in the Mainland and Hong Kong and will further cooperation in actively promoting the internationalisation of renminbi, as well as consolidating and elevating Hong Kong’s position as an international financial centre.
