Hong Kong Futures Exchange Volume Rises in May

A total of 510,467 futures contracts were traded on the Hong Kong Futures Exchange in May compared to 505,056 in April. Options volume declined in May with 63,409 contracts traded compared to 70,452 contracts in April. The year-to-date (January to May) volume was 2,717,780 futures contracts, a decline of 11.2 per cent, compared to the same period last year. Year-to-date options volume rose by 11.6 per cent compared to last year with 363,910 contracts traded.
