HKEX:Change In The Holding Of An Executive Office

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (“HKEX”) announces that, with a view to rationalising the operating process, Mr Lee Kwok Keung, Roger, HKEX’s Head of Markets, is appointed to replace Mr Romnesh Lamba as the Chief Executive of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited (“SEHK”) and Hong Kong Futures Exchange Limited (“HKFE”), both being HKEX’s direct wholly-owned subsidiaries. Mr Lamba, HKEX’s Co-head of Market Development, remains as a director of both SEHK and HKFE.

Pursuant to section 26 of the Securities and Futures Ordinance, Mr Lee’s appointment is subject to the approval in writing of the Securities and Futures Commission. A further announcement will be issued upon obtaining such approval.

Mr Lee Kwok Keung, Roger, aged 57, joined SEHK in 1997 and has been HKEX’s Head of Markets since January 2016. As the Head of Markets, Mr Lee is responsible for the cash and derivatives trading, market data, and market surveillance and monitoring functions. Mr Lee holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master of Business Administration degree from The University of Hong Kong, and is a fellow of CPA Australia.
