The Hang Seng Index (HSI) closed at 19651.51 today, down 496.36 points. It was the biggest point decline since 28 November 2006 when the index was down 564.48 points.
Today's securities market turnover value was $80,859 million, the highest ever.
Today's derivative warrants and callable bull/bear contracts turnover were $9,101 million and $113.9 million.
A total of 639,520 trades were concluded today (previous record: 633,696 trades recorded on 4 January 2007).
Today's market capitalisation is $13,224,048,844,562. Yesterday's market capitalisation was $13,598,024,655,732.
