HKEx: GEM Conference 2001 - A New Experience

Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx) will organise a conference on the Growth Enterprise Market (GEM) on 23 November. The conference, GEM Conference 2001- A New Experience, is aimed at providing potential GEM listing candidates and market participants with a greater understanding of GEM and to introduce the newly amended GEM Listing Rules. You are cordially invited to assign a reporter to cover the event.

The conference will open with speeches by senior officials from HKEx and GEM listed companies followed by a panel discussion entitled From Private to Public. The chairman of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors, Moses Cheng, will give a keynote speech on corporate governance during the luncheon. There will be presentations after lunch by sponsors, accounting and law firms on the practical steps to prepare for GEM listing, followed by a panel discussion and interactive participation with the audience.
