Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEX) is pleased, effective today (Tuesday), to welcome applications for the HKEX Charity Partnership Programme (Programme) 2021, HKEX Foundation’s flagship charitable programme.
This year, HKEX Foundation will allocate another $20 million to the Programme for long-term projects within the community, supporting Financial Literacy, Diversity and Inclusion, Poverty Relief, and Environmental Sustainability.
HKEX Chairman Laura M Cha said: “In 2020 we were delighted to support more than 40,000 people within Hong Kong through this partnership programme, and this year again we are very pleased that HKEX Foundation will be channeling another $20 million to community initiatives and projects that make meaningful positive impact on our society. The programme, in partnership with the Community Chest, sits alongside our other philanthropic work orchestrated through HKEX Foundation, and reflects our long term commitment to our community and the markets in which we operate.”
The Programme, first launched in 2020, is managed by The Community Chest of Hong Kong; its focus is on supporting long-term projects that benefit the local community, delivering positive and sustainable impact. Last year, 10 projects benefitting more than 40,000 individuals in our community were selected under the Programme, including a project supporting financial literacy among students and a project providing day care services for the elderly.
The application period is now open until 30 June. Please refer to the HKEX Group website for Programme application and details of current supported projects.
