The Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) today published its annual review of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited's (SEHK) performance in its regulation of listing matters during 2014 (Note 1).
The SFC is of the view that within the scope reviewed during the period, SEHK’s operational procedures and decision-making processes, other than certain procedures involving issuance of guidance to the market, were appropriate to enable it to discharge its statutory obligations to maintain an orderly, informed and fair market.
In the report released today, the SFC also identified certain areas for SEHK to continue to enhance its performance.
Note:
- In March 2004, the Government published its Consultation Conclusions on Proposals to Enhance the Regulation of Listing. Among other matters, the Government recommended that the SFC should prepare annual reports on its reviews regarding SEHK’s performance of its listing functions.
