HEX: New Class Of Soon Communications Plc Exchanged Share To The Main List On June 11, 2001

Elisa Communications Corporation has decided to effect the Soon Communications Plc share exchange offer in several stages so that the Soon Communications Plc shareholders participating in the offer on June 8, 2001 at the latest will receive Elisa Communications Corporation new A shares in their book-entry accounts on or about June 18, 2001. According to Elisa Communications Corporation the company´s board of directors will make the decisions regarding the increase in the share capital on or about June 15, 2001.

The first stage of Elisa Communications Corporation´s exchange offer will end on June 8, 2001. Due to the extended exchange offer of Elisa Communications Corporation a new class of Soon Communications Plc exchanged share will be listed on the Main List as of June 11, 2001. The shares of this class will be converted into new Elisa Communications Corporation A shares after the company has made the decisions concerning the approval of the offer.

The Soon Communications Plc exchanged shares which were tendered for exchange at the first stage of the Elisa Communications Corporation exchange offer will be on the Main List for the last time on June 8, 2001.

Trading in the new class of Soon Communications Plc exchanged share will start on Helsinki Exchanges' Main List on Friday, June 11, 2001.
