HEX Back Office And Custody Services Ltd Starts As An Account Operator In Estonian Central Depository For Securities

HEX extends its services to clearing and settlement services in Estonia. HEX Back Office and Custody Services Ltd (HBO) has obtained account operator status in Estonia and will start as a remote account operator in Estonian Central Depository for Securities on February 25, when trading in Estonian shares begins in HEX's trading system.

"HEX's strategy is to offer all marketplace services related to securities trading, clearing and settlement. We actively develop outsourcing services for market participants, and HBO's account operator status is an important link in our service chain to Tallinn Stock Exchanges's remote members," says Jukka Ruuska, President and CEO of HEX Group.

HBO offers clearing and settlement services to Finnish and foreign professional investors and acts as a custodian to common funds. The now obtained account operator status enables HBO to operate directly in the local Estonian market.

HEX owns 61,6 per cent of TSE Group, which consists of Tallinn Stock Exchange and Estonian Central Depository for Securities.
