Capital market culture construction is an important part of national financial work. At the beginning of 2016, Shenzhen City and SZSE began to jointly build a financial innovation cultural display platform that integrates such functions as the collection, exhibition, education and publicity of historical materials. The newly completed Financial Museum has an exhibition area of about 3,000 square meters and is mainly composed of two exhibition halls, the north and the south. The North Exhibition Hall shows the origin and changes of world capital market and the history of China's capital market, especially the capital market construction since the reform and opening up. It displays many valuable documents, physical collections, video photos and precious oral history from many senior leaders and comrades. The South Exhibition Hall mainly displays the development history of the SZSE multi-tiered capital market and the achievements after its establishment. Besides, Shenzhen financial innovation road has also been set up to show a number of innovative initiatives taken by Shenzhen City in domestic financial sector since the reform and opening up. In addition, the Financial Museum makes the history "live" through high-tech means such as scene restoration, somatosensory interaction and multimedia display, which makes the financial securities cultural knowledge become colorful and deeply rooted in the hearts of the people.
An SZSE official said that the Financial Museum is not only a cultural construction base for China's capital market and a financial innovation cultural base in Shenzhen, but also a place to spread the popular science of financial securities and risks among investors and Shenzhen citizens. It will become a new beautiful scenery on the national financial culture map. After the commission of the Financial Museum, SZSE will continue to strengthen the cooperation with institutions such as the Development of the Shenzhen Municipal Government Financial Services Office, the Archival Information of Shenzhen and the Shenzhen Museum to enrich the content of exhibition and play the role of a comprehensive platform for recording inheritance and cultural exchange so as to build the Museum into a new cultural card for China's capital market and Shenzhen City.
