Helsinki Exchanges Evening Trading Cut Back By Half An Hour As Of 1 April

Evening trading at Helsinki Exchanges will be cut back by half an hour as of 1 April, 2003, from which date evening trading will end at 7.30 p.m. Finnish time (CET 6.30 p.m.).

Otherwise trading hours will remain unchanged.

The change in the evening trading hours is HEX's response to changing demand in a challenging market situation. During the autumn, HEX discussed the trading hours with brokers and investors. Based on the feedback received, a decision was made in December to cut back evening trading by half an hour. Evening trading started at Helsinki Exchanges in April 2001.
