Today, ACER opens a public consultation on the REMIT market participant registration format and the Centralised European Register of Energy Market Participants (CEREMP) platform.
What is it about?
Under REMIT (the Regulation on Wholesale Energy Market Integrity and Transparency), all market participants must register with the national regulatory authority in the country where they operate.
At EU level, ACER manages the European register of market participants through the CEREMP platform, which collects Member States’ national registers. To ensure consistent data collection across the EU, ACER established a common registration format in 2012.
Why are we consulting?
To keep up with evolving regulatory and technical requirements (including the 2024 revision of REMIT), ACER plans to update both the registration format and the CEREMP platform.
This public consultation aims to gather stakeholders’ feedback and help inform ACER’s decision-making.
