Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission – New Member Of The Copenhagen Stock Exchange

Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission AB has been approved as a new member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange. From Thursday 1 July, Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission will have access to the equity market and will be trading on their own and customers’ account, e.g. via program trading.

The number of remote member firms on the equity market now totals 17 out of a total of 43 member firms. The remote members’ market share has increased significantly in recent years, and this year it is 22 per cent.

President and CEO Hans-Ole Jochumsen says:”We look forward to welcoming Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission as a member of the Copenhagen Stock Exchange and to having them grant their customers direct access to the Danish equity market.

Hagströmer & Qviberg ranks among the five most active member firms on the Stockholmsbörsen, consequently, we expect them to become a participant that will contribute towards an improvement in the liquidity of Danish shares as well.”

To further widen the coverage of the Nordic equity markets, Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommision has just become a member of the Oslo Børs and is also a member of the Stockholmsbörsen, HEX Helsinki and Eurex.

Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission AB is wholly owned by Hagströmer & Qviberg AB, which is listed on the Stockholmsbörsen. The group has approx. 175 employees specialised in investment banking and private banking, and at end-2003, it had a market capitalisation of SEK 619 million.
