Gucci Group Out Of AEX Index As Of 3 May

Following the official result of the takeover bid by Pinault-Printemps-Redoute for the company, Gucci Group will be removed from the AEX index effective 3 May.

In accordance with the rules of the AEX Index the removed company will not be replaced immediately, but at the next yearly review (effective 2 March 2005). Following the close of the markets on Friday 30 April, Gucci Group’s weighting in the AEX index will be divided proportionally among the remaining 24 constituents, which will therefore have new weightings as from 3 May 2004.
