Green Key Releases New Front End, Launches Partnership Program - Trading Technologies First Third Party To Integrate New Web-Based Voice Workspace - Now Deployed On Tablets, New Platform Runs On OpenFin HTML5 Container Technology

Date 03/02/2016

Green Key Technologies, creator of an award-winning voice workspace designed for financial market voice collaboration, today released its first web-based platform, Voice Box, in conjunction with the launch of a third-party Partnership Program. Green Key will upgrade all current users to the new HTML5 voice workspace, the first in the industry to bring sophisticated trader voice capabilities to a broad range of devices that includes low-cost touch-screen tablets.

Trading Technologies International, Inc. (TT), a provider of high-performance professional trading software, is the first third party to join Green Key's new Partnership Program.  The firms have integrated the new Web-based Voice Box and customized it for the unique needs of TT's diverse user base, enabling TT clients to access Green Key from within the "TT" platform.

Green Key selected OpenFin's market-leading, secure HTML5 container technology to eliminate browser dependencies and provide native application functionality, such as pop-up notifications and the ability to save workspace layouts. The OpenFin Container, which also powers TT Desktop, enables seamless integration between Voice Box and TT.

Said Green Key CEO Anthony Tassone: "We created an extremely thin web application, designed for mission-critical trader voice, that performs exceptionally well on sub-$100 tablets. This reduction in hardware dependency can produce an average cost savings of $15 million a year for large financial market firms. We're very excited to partner with TT and make the workspace available to its highly skilled and vast user base."

Drew Shields, CTO of Trading Technologies, offered: "One of the benefits of our new trading platform for our clients is that we are able to more easily integrate with other best-of-breed technologies. In doing so with Green Key, we have given our users another powerful trading tool without disrupting their workflow. We are very pleased to enter this partnership and bring this compelling combination to the market."

Said OpenFin CEO Mazy Dar: "TT and Green Key are at the forefront of designing the next generation trader desktop, which is a Web-first, rich, integrated experience. We're delighted they have both chosen OpenFin and look forward to facilitating integration between both platforms and other industry applications."

Voice Box is a significant upgrade to Green Key's previous Trader Voice Box platform, supporting the latest web application interoperability standards. Tassone said the product name now omits "Trader" because the platform's numerous voice collaboration features now hold appeal not only to traders and brokers at the front end but to middle- and back-office personnel at banks, brokerage and trading firms.

Green Key's new program will offer partners a JavaScript software development kit (SDK) so they can build their own applications on top of Green Key's Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) network.  In addition, Green Key will make available its transcription engine application programming interface (API) so that partners can build analysis, compliance and trade reporting applications on top of transcribed voice recordings.

Green Key provides global financial market participants with softphone capabilities over a secure voice network without hardware. The Green Key cloud-based voice software completely replicates the functionality of legacy hardware turrets and T1 lines, but at a fraction of the cost.  Users can access the voice software from any device and push-to-talk concurrently in real time with an unlimited amount of users.
