At the twenty-sixth Annual General Meeting on 11th July 2014, Grant Angwin of Johnson Matthey was elected as the Chairman of the LBMA.
Grant has been a Member of the Management Committee since 2011. He has worked for more than 25 years for Johnson Matthey. For most of that time he was based in the UK and held various positions within the refining business prior to being appointed Head of Sales at the Royston refinery. He relocated several years ago to Salt Lake City, USA as Sales and Marketing Director and shortly after that he took the position of General Manager.
Steven Lowe, of Bank of Nova Scotia-ScotiaMocatta, was re-elected LBMA Vice-Chairman.

In his final report as chairman of the LBMA, David Gornall commented on the number of issues the LBMA had faced over the past year and how well it had responded to the various challenges facing the market, particularly those relating to regulation. David also thanked all LBMA Committee Members for their time, effort and expertise in undertaking the huge range of activities in support of the LBMA.
