- The Extraordinary General Meeting of Towarowa Giełda Energii (TGE) on 6 May 2024 has appointed Piotr Listwoń, current Vice-President and COO, as President of the Management Board for the next term
- By decision of the TGE Supervisory Board, Jarosław Ziębiec will remain on the Management Board as Vice-President for Business Development for the next term
- The Supervisory Board has appointed Mariusz Buraczyński as Vice-President and COO for the next term, subject to approval by the Polish Financial Supervision Authority
- The President and Members of the TGE Management Board were appointed following a competition procedure.
- The new term of office will commence on the day following the date of the General Meeting approving the Company’s financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2023
- Piotr Zawistowski will serve as President of the TGE Management Board until the expiry of his current mandate. After its expiry, the cooperation is planned to continue in a different formula
Piotr Listwoń
Piotr Listwoń has 16 years of experience in trading and clearing of commodity forwards, financial instruments and international transactions within the framework of European electricity markets coupling. He has been affiliated with the TGE Group since 2008 and was initially involved in the launch of IRGiT’s operational activities and led the implementation of the advanced payment system at IRGiT. From 2013 to 2018, he was Director of the IRGiT Clearing and Settlement Department and Director of the IRGiT International Cooperation Development. In that period, he represented the company at general meetings of EACH (European Association of CCP Clearing Houses).
Since April 2018, he has been Vice-President of the Management Board of Towarowa Giełda Energii responsible for operations and the development of the product offering. He oversaw the launch of the 24/7/365 European Intraday Market (XBID), the launch of forward trading on the OTF and the implementation of the comprehensive liquidity improvement programme. Since April 2018, he has been a member of the Supervisory Board of the GPW Foundation, and since December 2020, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of InfoEngine, a member of the GPW Group. In January 2021, he joined the board of the Association of Power Exchanges APEx.
In October 2023, in addition his role as Vice-President of the TGE Management Board, he took up the position of Vice-President of the Management Board of IRGiT overseeing the operations of the TGE Group.
Piotr Listwoń is a graduate of Strategic Management Programme of the POU/Oxford Brookes University, where he also obtained his MBA.
Jarosław Ziębiec
For 25 years, Jarosław Ziębiec has specialised in the creation and implementation of development strategies for financial and commodity markets. He has gained extensive professional experience, among others, in cooperation with national and foreign supervisory authorities. He has a deep understanding of processes and the practical skills necessary to lead key initiatives in the operation of organisations and the management of large project teams.
From 1998 to 2010, he was affiliated with the Warsaw Stock Exchange as Director for Derivatives responsible for the launch, development and marketing of the derivatives market, the creation of the structured products market and the introduction of the first ETF.
From 2011 to 2013, he was with Bloomberg LP in London responsible, as part of the Exchange Business Management Team, for cooperation and relations with Central and Eastern European exchanges.
He has been with Towarowa Giełda Energii since March 2014. As a senior manager and advisor to the Management Board, he was responsible for, among others, the launch of the regulated market and the preparation of TGE for the implementation of MIFiD II, including obtaining the licence for the Organised Trading Facility (OTF). Since 2015, he has been a member of the Europex Working Group on Financial Markets, Integrity & Transparency (WG FM). From 2016 to 2018, he was a member of the ESMA Commodity Derivatives Task Force Consultative Working Group.
Jarosław Ziębiec served as Director of the Strategy and Projects Department at Towarowa Giełda Energii from July 2018 to October 2023, responsible for the creation and implementation of the company’s strategy and coordination of ongoing projects.
He took up the position of Vice-President of the Management Board for Business Development in October 2023. He is a member of TGE’s Risk Management Committee.
Jarosław Ziębiec is a graduate of the Transport Economics Department at the University of Gdańsk, where he graduated in 1993 with a degree in Economics and Organisation of Foreign Trade.
Mariusz Buraczyński
Mariusz Buraczyński has over 25 years of professional experience in the financial and energy industry. For nearly 15 years, he has held managerial positions with companies trading in commodities admitted to trading organised by TGE.
Between 2000 and 2012, he was affiliated with Towarowa Giełda Energii, including as its CFO from 2005. He participated in multiple projects and implementations of the TGE Group, including clearing systems, the gas market, clearing of new exchange-traded products, creation of the Energy Market Guarantee Fund and the Register of Certificates of Origin.
From 2013 to 2014, he worked in managerial positions in GPW Group companies and from 2014 to 2019 in PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna as Director of the Risk Department responsible for overall management of corporate, market and financial risk in the PGE Group.
In 2021, he participated in the acquisition of Vortex Energy-Obrót sp. o.o. by Columbus Energy S.A., where he subsequently served as President of the Management Board of Columbus Obrót sp. z o.o. until 2022.
Mariusz Buraczyński is a graduate of the Banking and Finance Department of the Warsaw School of Economics, an MBA programme (Kozminski University), and the Tax and Tax Law Programme at the University of Warsaw.
